This page lists the current viruses in circulation and the date they were notified. The list is supplied by our OU campus anti-virus vendor, www.sophos.com. Your own Anti-virus system is not up to date unless it provides protection against these viruses.  The same virus may be called by a different name by each anti-virus supplier. You should try and update your anti-virus system every day, and keep your subscription up-to-date if you are paying for an anti-virus system privately. (We have also included a link to free software which will allow you to remove an infection if you have have already been exposed to a damaging virus).

There are also a number of time-wasting hoaxes in circulation - some of the most recently popular are listed below.
